Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation during a phone conversation on August 24, Akorda reports.
Pashinyan congratulated Tokayev on the successful elections to Kazakhstan’s unicameral Kurultai, emphasizing the historical significance of the vote for the country.
Tokayev thanked the Armenian prime minister for his warm congratulations and highlighted the active participation of Armenian representatives in the international observer mission.
The sides also reviewed the current state of Kazakhstan-Armenia relations and discussed opportunities for further cooperation, with particular attention to the implementation of joint trade, economic and investment projects.
