BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 13. Tajikistan and
Egypt discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
This was reflected in the statement by the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of Uzbekistan following a meeting held on August 12 between
Tajik Ambassador to Egypt Parviz Mirzozoda and Egyptian Deputy
Interior Minister and Head of the General Administration of
Passports, Immigration and Nationality General Abdullah
Muhammad.
The officials reviewed the current state of cooperation between
Tajikistan and Egypt and exchanged views on issues related to the
work of relevant government institutions.
“The parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation
between Tajikistan and Egypt,” the ministry said.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the two sides to discuss
practical aspects of cooperation and maintain direct communication
between Tajik and Egyptian authorities.
The engagement also highlights the importance of institutional
contacts in supporting broader bilateral relations. Cooperation
involving interior and migration authorities can contribute to more
effective coordination on issues related to citizens, travel,
documentation and other areas falling within the competence of the
relevant agencies.
The meeting comes as Dushanbe and Cairo continue efforts to
strengthen bilateral ties through contacts between government
institutions and diplomatic representatives.
Regular consultations between the two countries’ officials can
also help identify additional areas for practical cooperation and
address emerging issues in a timely manner.
The Tajik and Egyptian sides reaffirmed their interest in
maintaining dialogue and continuing cooperation on matters of
mutual interest.
The meeting between Mirzozoda and Muhammad is part of
Tajikistan’s broader diplomatic engagement with Egypt and efforts
to develop relations across various areas. Continued institutional
dialogue is expected to support further coordination between the
two countries and provide a basis for advancing bilateral
cooperation.
