BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. The value of
information and communications services provided in Azerbaijan
increased in January-July.
The figures were reported in a State Statistics Committee report
titled “Macroeconomic indicators of the country’s economic and
social development in January-July 2026.”
A total of $1.399 billion worth of information and
communications services were provided in Azerbaijan during the
first seven months of this year.
According to the report, the figure increased by 10.4% in real
terms compared with the same period last year.
Overall, Azerbaijan produced $45.187 billion worth of gross
domestic product (GDP) in January-July. This figure was 1.4% higher
than in the same period of 2025.
During the reporting period, value added in the economy’s oil
and gas sector fell by 0.6% to $13.480 billion, while value added
in the non-oil and gas sector increased by 2.2% to $31.706
billion.
