August 10, 2026, Baku — Azerbaijan Airlines
recommends that passengers plan their travel and purchase tickets
in advance, taking into account the high passenger demand on the
Baku–Nakhchivan–Baku route during August and September.

During this period, passenger traffic to and from Nakhchivan
increases due to the return of travelers from summer holidays and
the start of the new academic year, which leads to increased travel
by students and families, as well as a rise in business travel. As
a result, seats on certain flights and dates may sell out more
quickly. Planning ahead gives passengers a wider choice of suitable
travel dates and departure times while also helping them organize
their journeys more conveniently.

Currently, 16 scheduled flights (including both outbound and
return services) are operated daily on the Baku–Nakhchivan–Baku
route. Azerbaijan’s national air carrier also continuously monitors
passenger demand and, in addition to optimizing its flight schedule
within operational capabilities, considers the possibility of
introducing additional flights when necessary.

It should be noted that the flight schedule to and from
Nakhchivan is developed taking into account not only passenger
demand but also the region’s complex mountainous terrain, weather
conditions, and other operational factors. Accordingly, the
planning and operation of flights are carried out in line with
operational requirements designed to ensure safe and reliable air
services.

Tickets can be purchased via the official
website or mobile application,
as well as through the airline’s sales offices and accredited
travel agencies.
