BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 8. Uzbekistan and the
U.S. are moving to deepen economic ties through the expansion of
trade, investment, and business cooperation.


This was reflected in the statement by the press service of the
Uzbek president, following the phone call between President Shavkat
Mirziyoyev and U.S. President Donald Trump on August 7.


The two leaders discussed the current state of Uzbek-U.S.
relations and prospects for further developing the strategic
partnership, with particular attention to the implementation of
economic agreements reached at the highest level.


Trump said Uzbek-U.S. relations had reached an ''unprecedented
level'', while both leaders noted the growing intensity of
bilateral contacts and exchanges across virtually all areas of
cooperation.


A key focus was the implementation of a three-year economic
cooperation program between the two countries. The first meeting of
the U.S.-Uzbek Business and Investment Council has also been held,
creating a new platform for expanding commercial ties and
facilitating investment projects.


Cooperation between Uzbek regions and U.S. states is also
expanding, while the introduction of a visa-free regime for U.S.
citizens has helped strengthen business and people-to-people
contacts.


The two countries are pursuing joint projects across a broad
range of sectors, including civil aviation, automotive
manufacturing, mining, infrastructure, energy, metallurgy,
artificial intelligence and digital technologies.







''The parties highly valued the intensive dynamics of bilateral
contacts and exchanges covering virtually all areas of
cooperation,'' Uzbekistan's presidential administration said
following the call.


The expanding economic agenda comes as Uzbekistan seeks to
attract greater foreign investment, diversify its industrial base
and establish deeper commercial links with major global markets.
U.S. companies, meanwhile, are gaining opportunities to participate
in Uzbekistan's infrastructure, energy, technology and industrial
modernization projects.


The leaders also discussed international and regional issues,
emphasizing the importance of continued efforts to promote global
security and peaceful resolution of conflicts.


They reviewed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and
multilateral events and agreed to maintain close dialogue.


At the end of the conversation, Mirziyoyev invited Trump to
visit Uzbekistan on an official visit at a mutually convenient
time.
