BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 7. Tajik carrier Somon
Air will launch direct flights between Dushanbe and Minsk later
this month, expanding air connectivity between Tajikistan and
Belarus.
This was reflected in the statement by the Somon Air.
The airline said the new route will begin operating on August
29, with flights scheduled once a week on Saturdays in both
directions.
The launch of the service will allow passengers to travel
directly between the capitals of Tajikistan and Belarus without the
need for connecting flights, improving convenience for both
business and leisure travelers.
"The launch of this new route will enable passengers from
Tajikistan to travel directly to the capital of Belarus," Somon Air
said.
The new route is expected to strengthen transport links between
the two countries and support the growing political and economic
cooperation between Dushanbe and Minsk. Improved air connectivity
could also facilitate business travel, tourism, and
people-to-people exchanges.
While the airline has confirmed the launch date and weekly
frequency, it has not yet released the detailed flight schedule,
ticket prices, or other travel conditions.
Somon Air continues to expand its international route network as
demand for direct connections from Tajikistan to regional and
international destinations grows. The addition of Minsk further
broadens the carrier's network and provides travelers with another
direct link to Eastern Europe.
