Russian forces launched an overnight strike on the Samsung-Ukraine plant on July 8, alleging that the facility was producing components for Ukrainian long-range cruise missiles.
According to the Russian Defence Ministry’s statement posted on Telegram, the facility manufactured parts for Flamingo FP-5 missiles and was also used to store missile components.
The Russian military described the operation as part of a “retaliatory strike.”
