The full lineup for the Round of 16 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been confirmed following the final matches of the Round of 32, with Egypt, Argentina and Colombia securing the last remaining places in the knockout stage.


Egypt advanced after a tense penalty shootout victory over Australia. The match ended 1–1 in regulation time before Egypt prevailed 4–2 on penalties.


Defending champions Argentina were pushed to the limit but overcame Cape Verde 3–2 after extra time in a closely contested encounter.


Colombia also booked their place in the next round with a narrow 1–0 win over Ghana.


With those results, all Round of 16 fixtures are now set, promising a series of high-profile clashes as the tournament moves deeper into the knockout phase.
