An explosion ripped through a residential building in the city of Huludao in northeastern China, leaving three people missing and eight others with minor injuries, Xinhua reports.
According to local fire authorities, the incident occurred at approximately 7:11 a.m. local time on June 29 (03:11 Baku time). A leak of liquefied gas has been identified as the preliminary cause of the explosion.
Emergency services swiftly dispatched 95 firefighters and 14 pieces of specialised equipment to the scene.
All injured victims were taken to the hospital for medical treatment. Search-and-rescue operations remain underway, while authorities continue to investigate the cause and circumstances of the incident.
