Ghanaian witch doctor Nana Kwaku Bonsam has apologized to the Turkish public for Türkiye’s elimination from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, according to foreign media.

Türkiye finished bottom of Group D after defeats to Australia (0–2) and Paraguay (0–1), despite a 3–2 victory over the United States. The team ended the group stage in fourth place and was knocked out of the tournament.

“Honestly, it was a huge mistake. I had prepared a special charm to weaken Ghana’s intended opponent at the World Cup, but during the ritual my apprentice slipped while holding the map, and the energy went toward Turkey instead,” Bonsam noted.

The sorcerer said that after watching Türkiye’s recent matches and the chances the team failed to convert, he realized something had gone wrong, and apologized to the Turkish people, stressing that they had never been his target.

The shaman also dismissed claims that he had magically influenced Portugal to win the World Cup or caused Argentina to lose to Cape Verde.
