Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned Moldova's ambassador, the ministry said.
The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that ambassador Lilian Darii was presented with a verbal note concerning what Moscow described as a serious violation of the Vienna Convention by the Moldovan side, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
"Ambassador Lilian Darii, who was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, was formally notified of what Moscow described as Chisinau's flagrant violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations following the detention of diplomatic couriers from the Russian Foreign Ministry at Chisinau International Airport," the ministry said in a statement.
