Kazakhstan is considering importing aviation fuel from Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan as it seeks to diversify supplies, Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov said.


Speaking on the sidelines of parliament, Akkenzhenov said Kazakh traders are already importing jet fuel from China, while authorities are assessing additional supply options from neighbouring countries and beyond, Caliber.Az reports per Kazakh media


"I know that we have traders who are importing aviation fuel from China. The issue of importing aviation fuel from Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan is also being explored, and discussions are underway with countries further afield," the minister said.
