Keir Starmer isn’t the first Prime Minister I’ve deposed and won’t be the last, says Reform UK leader Nigel Farage.

He has called for early general elections following Starmer’s announcement of his resignation, Caliber.Az reports, citing The Herald.

“Starmer isn’t the first Prime Minister I’ve deposed, and he won’t be the last. David Cameron. Theresa May. Rishi Sunak. And next up - Andy Burnham. The reason each leader has failed is the same. What the political class fails to understand is that the electorate won’t accept being taken for fools,” Farage noted.

According to him, they cannot continue to take the votes of the people who supported them for granted, only to betray them once they come to power.

“Politics is based on trust,” he added.

He said elections must be held as soon as possible.

“You know as well as I do that the country cannot afford to spend another week drifting from crisis to crisis. That is why millions of you came out in local elections to vote for Reform UK candidates, and why we have been leading in more than 300 opinion polls for over a year,” Farage explained.
