Kazakhstan has launched a training laboratory for drone operators on the basis of the Operational Forensic Department of the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Police officers are being trained to use unmanned aerial vehicles for search-and-rescue operations, rapid response, and crime investigation. The programme includes theoretical lessons, simulator-based training, and practical field exercises, Caliber.Az reports via Kazakh media.
According to the chief forensic expert, the initiative aims to prepare personnel for the effective use of modern technologies in law enforcement.
The Interior Ministry said drones are already being used for night surveillance, locating missing persons, and inspecting hard-to-reach areas. In Kazakhstan’s Turkestan Region, they have helped solve a livestock theft case quickly.
Authorities say the introduction of drone technology will improve response times and increase the overall efficiency of police operations.
