Azerbaijan’s National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has released its weekly report detailing ongoing demining operations across liberated territories.
According to ANAMA, between June 16 and June 21, clearance operations were conducted across multiple districts, including Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khojavand, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, Gazakh, and Zangilan, as well as in the city of Khankendi, Caliber.Az reports.
During the reporting period, teams detected and neutralised 84 anti-personnel mines, 29 anti-tank mines, and 514 unexploded ordnance items, the agency said.
In total, 1,710.16 hectares of land were cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance over the course of the week.
ANAMA said demining operations continue as part of ongoing efforts to restore infrastructure, enable the return of displaced populations, and ensure civilian safety in post-conflict areas.
