Azerbaijan and Greece have discussed cooperation of universities of both countries as part a meeting between Greek Ambassador to Azerbaijan Maria Papakonstantinou and the rector of the Azerbaijan University of Languages, Kamal Abdulla.


During the talks, the two sides explored ways of deepening academic collaboration, possibilities for enhancing engagement between the countries in cultural fields as well, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.


They also underlined the importance of the Greek Language and Culture Centre operating at the Azerbaijan University of Languages, expressing their readiness to further broaden its scope of activities.


The discussions additionally focused on expanding ties between Azerbaijani and Greek universities, especially through joint research initiatives and student exchange programmes.


During her visit, Papakonstantinou toured the Greek Language and Culture Centre and interacted with Azerbaijani students who are currently studying the Greek language.
