Azerbaijan’s Karabakh University has updated its economics programme in cooperation with leading economists from the University of Oxford, a collaboration established to develop an innovative Bachelor’s degree programme in economics at the university.
As part of the initiative, economists from the University of Oxford worked together with faculty members from Karabakh University’s School of Business and Economics to design a BSc Economics programme based on modern approaches and aligned with international standards, Caliber.Az reports, citing the university.
Representatives of the University of Oxford also visited Karabakh University to finalise the programme and present it to academic staff.
During the visit, seminars and interactive workshops were held with faculty members.
The sessions focused on discussing the structure, content, and teaching methodology of the programme in detail.
The main objective was to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum among academic staff and prepare for its effective implementation.
The new economics programme also includes areas such as data analysis, artificial intelligence, and programming, aiming to meet the demands of the modern labour market and global education standards.
The cooperation is seen as an important step by Karabakh University toward improving education quality through international academic partnerships and providing students with globally competitive learning opportunities.
