Iran’s parliament speaker and chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, cautioned that “if the United States does not honor its commitments, there is no way Iran will honor its own commitments,” according to CNN, which cited media affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
US President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian signed a memorandum on Wednesday, June 17, intended to end hostilities and restore maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
Under the 14-point framework, Washington agreed to ease sanctions on Iran, allowing Tehran broader access to global banking channels and increased oil export revenues.
