England’s national team has encountered an unexpected challenge during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.


According to The Athletic, the squad, based in Kansas City, US, received a tornado warning on the evening of June 13.


With wind gusts reaching up to 130 km/h, players and staff were advised to take shelter in a sturdy building and stay away from windows.


England is competing in Group L alongside Croatia, Ghana, and Panama. The team will open its World Cup campaign against Croatia on June 17.
