Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Iranian parliament’s Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy, has claimed that Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz is already established internationally and urged the US Treasury Secretary to “stop boasting.”
“The Iranian management of the Strait of Hormuz has already been established in the world, so countries request permission, pay fees, and navigate their vessels under the guidance of the IRGC Navy.
The only one who does not believe it or does not want to believe it is US President Donald Trump. From time to time, he sends his army to open the strait, but they come, get beaten, and return,” he wrote on his X page.
Addressing US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Rezaei said: “Mr. Bessent! Instead of unnecessary boasting, think about bowing to the strength of Iranians in the Persian Gulf.”
