The Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, is set to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan from May 4 to 8, 2026, as preparations intensify for the bank’s upcoming Annual Meetings in Baku.
The visit comes ahead of the 2026 IsDB Group Annual Meetings, scheduled to be held in the Azerbaijani capital from June 16 to 19 under the theme “Regional Integration for Sustainable Prosperity.” According to IsDB, the trip aims to reinforce its partnership with Azerbaijan and support coordination efforts for the high-level gathering, Caliber.Az reports per the IsDB press statement.
During his stay, Dr. Al Jasser is expected to hold meetings with senior Azerbaijani government officials and other high-level authorities. Discussions will focus on strengthening cooperation and advancing shared development priorities.
His programme also includes visits to several key development sites, including the Alat Free Economic Zone, the Aghdam Industrial Park, Garabagh University, and education facilities in Fuzuli.
