Shebekino, a town in Russia’s Belgorod region, came under fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces on April 11, with the attack also involving a drone strike.
According to regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, two civilians were injured in the incident, Caliber.Az reports.
One of the victims, a man, sustained a shrapnel wound to the head and barotrauma as a result of the shelling. The man was injured when an FPV (first-person view) drone hit his vehicle. He suffered multiple shrapnel wounds to his face, shoulder, chest, and legs. The injured individual received initial medical care at the Shebekino Central District Hospital and is set to be transferred to City Hospital No. 2 in Belgorod for further treatment.
Gladkov confirmed the attack on the town in a statement, saying, “The town of Shebekino is under attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Two civilians have been wounded.”
