A bilateral roundtable under the “Bridge of Peace” Initiative is set to take place in Azerbaijan from April 10 to 12, bringing together representatives of civil society from both Azerbaijan and Armenia, Caliber.Az reports.

The initiative, aimed at fostering dialogue and direct engagement between the two societies, marks a notable development this year as the Armenian delegation arrived in Azerbaijan via a land route. The group crossed a delimited and demarcated section of the border, completing all required border and passport control procedures.

The discussions are being held within the framework of a mutually agreed bilateral peace agenda, adopted during a trilateral summit involving Azerbaijan, Armenia, and the United States on August 8, 2025, in Washington, DC.

According to the agenda, participants will review the current state of the peace process, assess the activities carried out by members of the Bridge of Peace Initiative in their respective countries, and examine progress achieved to date, alongside broader regional developments.

Dedicated sessions will also focus on advancing peace at the societal level and strengthening mutual trust as part of the next phases of the peace process.
