Under the command of the Southern Command, Israel Defence Forces (IDF) struck and eliminated Muhammad Dawad, an engineering and explosives specialist within Hamas, in the northern Gaza Strip earlier this week.

In a Telegram post, the IDF noted that Dawad was responsible for the production of explosive devices and served as a central knowledge authority for the execution of terrorist attacks.

“The terrorist posed an immediate threat to IDF troops and was eliminated in a targeted strike. Accordingly, the terrorist led and carried out dozens of terrorist attacks against IDF troops.

IDF troops in the Southern Command remain deployed in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat,” the IDF added.
