Kuwait reported a series of Iranian attacks that began at 8:00 a.m. local time, causing damage to power plants, desalination facilities, and oil infrastructure, according to a statement by the Kuwaiti army on X, issued hours after the US-Iran ceasefire took effect.

“The Kuwaiti air defenses have been dealing, since 8:00 a.m. today and up to now, with an intense wave of hostile Iranian criminal attacks, where (28) drones were intercepted that targeted the State of Kuwait.

The Kuwaiti Armed Forces succeeded in intercepting a large number of hostile drones, some of which targeted vital oil facilities and power stations in the south of the country, resulting in significant material damage to oil infrastructure facilities, power stations, and water desalination plants. The General Staff of the Army affirms its full efforts in monitoring and confronting these treacherous targeting attempts,” the statement said.
