The United States has largely accomplished its military objectives in Iran, and the armed conflict is expected to end soon, US Vice President J.D. Vance said at a press conference in Budapest alongside Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

Vance emphasised that the United States still plans to work “militarily” to limit the Islamic Republic’s ability to produce weapons.

He added that it was important for others to understand that the United States possesses tools in its arsenal that have not yet been employed, and that the President has the authority to use them, which he will do if Iran does not alter its behaviour.
