Poland has mobilized its air force in response to a large-scale Russian attack on Ukraine involving strategic bombers, the country’s military confirmed.

In a statement on X, Poland’s Operational Command of the Armed Forces said all available resources have been deployed in line with established protocols to address the evolving situation.

“Additional fighter jets have been placed on combat readiness, while ground-based air defence and radar reconnaissance systems have been elevated to the highest alert level,” the statement said. Officials stressed that the measures are precautionary, aimed at protecting Polish airspace.

“The Operational Command is closely monitoring developments, and subordinate forces and assets remain ready for immediate action,” it added.
