Iran’s atomic agency has confirmed that there is no threat of radioactive contamination following an attack on a facility producing uranium concentrate.

Reports on March 27 indicated that the United States and Israel had targeted Iran’s nuclear complex. Among the sites struck was a heavy-water research reactor in the city of Khondab.

According to the Iranian news agency Fars, the attacks did not cause any casualties. Authorities emphasised that pre-existing safety measures effectively prevented any risk to the local population.
