Pope Leo has condemned the ongoing war in the Middle East, describing it as a “scandal to the entire human family and a cry before God,” during his weekly prayer gathering at St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican.
He urged the faithful present to pray that “hostilities may cease and Vatican News.
The Pope expressed profound concern over the conflicts not only in the Middle East but also in other parts of the world, stating, “We cannot remain silent in the face of the suffering of so many people, innocent victims of these conflicts.”
His remarks come as the war involving the US and Israel against Iran enters its fourth week, with casualties across the region continuing to rise.
