Two people were killed in central Israel as a result of an Iranian ballistic missile strike, Israel's national emergency service has said.

Magen David Adom (MDA) responders arrived at the scene in the city of Ramat Gan and confirmed the deaths of a man and a woman, both suffering severe shrapnel injuries, Caliber.Az reports.

Video released by MDA shows a partially destroyed building and a street littered with debris following the explosion.

MDA also said that an MDA rapid response vehicle was heavily damaged in the missile strike in central Israel. One medic sustained minor injuries.
