Russia’s share of China’s oil imports dropped to a three-year low at the end of January 2026, according to OPEC data.


In the first month of the year, Russian exporters accounted for just 15% of Chinese oil imports, while Iraq led with a 21% share — up four percentage points from December — and Brazil ranked third with 10%, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.


Overall, China’s average daily oil imports fell to 11.93 million barrels in January, down from a record 13.2 million barrels in December 2025, representing a decrease of 1.27 million barrels.
