Former Lebanese Prime Minister and Member of Parliament Saad Hariri sharply condemned Iran’s military actions in the region.
He made the statement in a press release published on X, per Caliber.Az.
Hariri noted that Lebanon and neighbouring Persian Gulf countries had become victims of strikes despite not showing any aggression.
The lawmaker stressed that Iran used its military arsenal—allegedly intended for the “liberation of Jerusalem”—to launch attacks on the capitals and key infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Oman.
He described these actions as a betrayal of the goodwill shown by neighbouring states and emphasised that the targets were civilian facilities and infrastructure rather than military bases.
Hariri urged the international community to pay attention to the threat and condemn what he described as Iran’s “aggressive behaviour,” warning that it jeopardises the security and stability of the entire region.
