Iran’s leader calls Khamenei killing "open war against Muslims"

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has condemned the killing of Ayatollah Imam Khamenei, describing it as a direct declaration of war against Muslims.

In a message of condolence following Khamenei’s death, Pezeshkian referred to him as “a great commander of the Islamic ummah and an outstanding leader of the Islamic Revolution,” stating that the Iranian leader was martyred “at the hands of the most villainous villains in the world.”

Pezeshkian described the development as a defining moment for the Islamic world.

“This event is the greatest test for the modern Islamic world. The killing of the supreme political leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the outstanding leader and authority of the Shiite world by the cursed American-Zionist axis is considered an open declaration of war against Muslims, especially Shiites in different parts of the world,” he said.
