Iran has claimed that more than 500 American soldiers have been killed in recent days amid the escalating clashes between the two countries and Israel.

In a message on X, Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, warned that “the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei will exact a heavy price” and criticised US President Donald Trump for  being “swayed by Netanyahu’s antics” into "an unjust war with Iran," Caliber.Az reports.

"Now he must calculate: with over 500 American soldiers killed in just the past few days, does America still come first - or Israel?” Larijani wrote on X.

Earlier, on March 2, the US military confirmed the identities of four of the first American soldiers killed, with officials warning that further casualties are expected as the confrontation intensifies.
