More than 100 foreign nationals were evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan through the Astara border checkpoint between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. local time on March 2.
Among them were citizens of Russia, China and Pakistan. The majority of those evacuated were citizens of the Russian Federation, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
In the last group, about 70 Russian citizens were sent through the territory of Azerbaijan to their country.
