A magnitude 5.0 earthquake struck the Philippines on the evening of February 13, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The tremor was recorded at 7:56 p.m. local time. The epicentre was located approximately 14 kilometres southwest of the town of Talaga, which has a population of around 3,200 people. The earthquake originated at a depth of 100 kilometres, the EMSC said, Caliber.Az reports.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage, and authorities are continuing to assess the situation.
