A shooting took place near the Industrial Technical College located on Promyshlennaya Street in Anapa, in Russia’s Krasnodar Region.
According to students at the college, cited by Mash Telegram channel, the gunman was one of the institution’s own students, enrolled in the auto mechanic program. Witnesses said he was dressed in a black shirt and black athletic pants. He was armed with a 12-gauge TOZ-34 double-barrel shotgun and was carrying a load-bearing vest equipped with 15 rounds of ammunition.
Five people were injured in the attack. One victim is in critical condition, while three others sustained injuries of moderate severity. All those wounded were taken to the Anapa City Hospital for treatment. Preliminary reports indicate that the college’s security guard is among those who were seriously injured.
Law enforcement officers have detained the suspect. Authorities are continuing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
