France has announced it will provide Ukraine with 150 generators and €71 million to bolster the country’s energy infrastructure, Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal said.

Shmyhal held talks with Nicolas Forissier, Minister Delegate to the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, responsible for Foreign Trade and Attractiveness, to discuss ongoing support for Ukraine’s energy sector and plans for its restoration.

During the meeting, the two officials reviewed bilateral energy projects, assessed the impact of Russian attacks on critical infrastructure, and outlined priorities for the recovery and modernization of Ukraine’s energy system.
