Police in Kaunas, Lithuania, have launched an investigation after a trolleybus was reportedly shot at on February 2. No injuries were reported.


Kaunas Police Department said that the incident occurred at around 9:00 p.m. on A. Juozapavičius Avenue, Caliber.Az reports via Lithuanian media.


The trolleybus driver, following the scheduled route, heard a noise resembling a gunshot, followed by the sound of shattering glass.


When the vehicle came to a stop, it was observed that a side window had been apparently pierced by a bullet. The extent of the damage is currently being assessed.


Authorities have opened a pre-trial investigation into property damage caused by a method considered dangerous to the public.
