Switzerland’s Vice President Ignazio Cassis and OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu arrived in Kyiv on February 2, underscoring the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s engagement with Ukraine amid ongoing efforts to end the war.
Cassis, who currently serves as chairperson-in-office of the OSCE, said the visit was intended to reaffirm the organisation’s role in supporting dialogue and peace initiatives, Caliber.Az reports.
“I am here to reaffirm the OSCE’s role as a platform for dialogue and its readiness to support efforts towards a just and lasting peace, in line with International Law and the Helsinki Principles,” Cassis wrote on X.
During their stay in Kyiv, the officials will discuss aspects of further developing the dialogue and attempts to engage more partners in promoting stability in Ukraine.
