In the early hours of February 2, Polish military authorities detected a breach of national airspace by unidentified objects, reportedly resembling balloons, originating from Belarus.
The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces confirmed the incident on X, Caliber.Az reports.
Radar systems verified the intrusion, highlighting ongoing concerns over aerial security along the eastern border.
Polish officials noted that “the scale of hybrid incidents from Belarus was significantly lower compared to previous nights,” suggesting a relative reduction in activity.
The command emphasized that close cooperation between the Armed Forces and national security services ensures swift responses to such incidents, including the interception of aerial objects and the apprehension of any suspicious individuals.
