Uzbekistan has proposed that Iraq reduce customs duties on the import of Uzbek fruits and vegetables from 20–30% to 5%.

The matter was discussed during a meeting between Uzbekistan’s Minister of Agriculture, Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, and Iraq’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Mahdi Sahir al-Jabbari, Caliber.Az reports via Sputnik Uzbekistan.

The two sides also agreed to establish a “green corridor” to simplify logistics and customs procedures, and to open a Uzbek trade house in Iraq.
