European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, offered assistance to Spain following a major railway accident that killed at least 39 people.
Lahbib expressed condolences to the victims and their families on her X page, Caliber.Az reports.

The accident occurred when several carriages of an Iryo train travelling from Malaga to Madrid with around 300 passengers derailed and collided with a train heading toward Huelva with 184 passengers on board. Several carriages from the second train fell down a four-meter embankment, complicating access for rescue teams. The latest reports confirm 39 fatalities from the crash.
