A planned press conference by Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghaddam, in Islamabad was cancelled on January 15, Afghan media reports.

The ambassador was due to address the National Press Club with a statement on the current situation in Iran.

According to some journalists, the event may have been called off due to objections from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and “security concerns,” though this has not been officially confirmed.
