DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, January 14. Tajikistan
and Austria are discussing further prospects for the development of
cooperation across various sectors, Trend reports via the press service of the
Tajik MFA.
This issue was discussed on January 12, 2026, in Vienna during a
meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of
Tajikistan to the Republic of Austria, Manuchehr Jobir, and
Secretary General for Foreign Affairs at the Federal Ministry for
European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria,
Nikolaus Marschik.
During the meeting, the parties engaged in comprehensive
discussions regarding the current status and prospects for the
advancement and deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation
between Tajikistan and Austria, within both bilateral and
multilateral frameworks of shared interest.
Previously, Tajikistan and the European Union explored avenues
for expanding collaboration across several key sectors during the
11th session of the Cooperation Council held in Brussels.
The dialogue encompassed a range of critical areas, including
trade and investment opportunities, security, transport and digital
communications, critical raw materials, and the transition to green
energy.
