AGHDAM, Azerbaijan, January 9. A new cohort of
former internally displaced persons (IDPs) has been resettled in
four villages within Azerbaijan's Aghdara district, as part of the
ongoing "Great Return" initiative to repopulate the liberated
territories, in accordance with the directives of President Ilham
Aliyev, Trend's
Karabakh bureau reports.
According to the Great Return program, the group was sent to
Childiran (13 families, 48 people), Ashaghi Oratagh (31 families,
119 people), Heyvali (19 families, 74 people), and Chapar (26
families, 96 people) villages from Tartar city.
The returning residents had been temporarily settled in various
parts of the country, mainly in hostels, sanatoriums, and
administrative buildings.
The former IDPs returning to their native lands thanked
President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva
for their comprehensive care and expressed gratitude to the valiant
Azerbaijani Army, which liberated the lands from occupation.
