BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 8. Samir Mammadov,
Deputy Minister of Azerbaijani Digital Development and Transport,
met with Ronen Krausz, the Ambassador of Israel to Azerbaijan, to
discuss ongoing and planned initiatives, Trend reports via the
ministry.
During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on work
carried out following the 4th session of the Joint Commission
between the governments of Azerbaijan and Israel held on November
20, 2025.
Updates were shared on the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center,
established in collaboration with Israel’s Technion Institute, as
well as the “Vistar” Center of Excellence, created last December
through cooperation between the Innovation and Digital Development
Agency, the Azerbaijan Space Agency, and the Israel Aerospace
Industries (IAI).
The meeting also focused on priority areas of partnership
between the two countries, including urban mobility, digitalization
of transport, artificial intelligence, support mechanisms for
innovative entrepreneurship and startups, cybersecurity, and the
development of human capital with digital knowledge and skills.
