Romanian President Nicușor Dan announced his country’s readiness to enhance security measures in the Black Sea and continue supporting Ukraine after a ceasefire, following his participation in the “Coalition of the Willing” meeting in Paris on January 6.

In a post on X, Dan noted that coalition members agreed on the importance of ongoing support for Ukraine and providing reliable security guarantees to prevent a new conflict in the region, Caliber.Az reports.

He described peace negotiations as reaching a critical stage and emphasised Romania’s commitment to contribute by strengthening Black Sea security and maintaining support for Ukraine.

“Our common aim is to achieve a just and lasting peace, based on respect for international law.  Romania is ready to do its part through continued multidimensional support to Ukraine and enhancing security in the Black Sea,” the president wrote.
