BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 7. Iran's internal
affairs are of no concern to anyone except its citizens, Foreign
Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi told reporters after a meeting of
the Cabinet of Ministers in Tehran today, Trend reports.
According to him, Iran's internal issues can be resolved between
the government and citizens. If there are any objections and
issues, they will be resolved, and there is great hope that they
will be resolved.
The minister noted that no foreign state has any involvement in
Iran's internal issues.
"Iran is making great efforts to develop economic cooperation
and trade relations with neighboring countries. The Iranian Foreign
Ministry is trying to identify the potentials of the provinces
within the framework of provincial diplomacy and align them with
the potentials of neighboring countries. Currently, all provinces
of Iran are interested in forming cooperation in this way.
In the current situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is
trying to take advantage of the very good economic potentials of
neighboring countries in order to help the country's economy. It is
the ministry's unforgettable duty to strive for the lifting of
sanctions imposed against the country," he pointed out.
The protests have been taking place in Iran since late December
in protest of the sharp depreciation of the Iranian rial against
foreign currencies, inflation, and the financial crisis.
