Russian president's special envoy for investment and economic cooperation Kirill Dmitriev has suggestd that Canada could be the next target in the US's growing territorial ambitions following its interest in Greenland.
Dmitriev posted on X in response to a recent interview for CNN given by Stephen Miller, US President's deputy chief of staff for policy, Caliber.Az reports.
In the interview, Miller reiterated the long-standing US position that Greenland, a self-governing territory of Denmark, should fall under US control to secure NATO interests in the Arctic region.
"Greenland seems decided—the EU will continue doing what vassals do best: 'monitoring the situation' and exemplifying double standards," Dmitriev wrote on X. "Canada next?"
He also commented on a post onn X showing a map that divided the world into spheres of control between US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
